Find property owners quickly
There are many ways in which to make contact with a property owner. You can try the following steps:
- Use the overlay feature in your software to find the property of interest, or type in the address/title number into the location search field.
- Click on the site of interest. You will see ownership data for commercial sites and for privately owned sites, please purchase the title register of the property for £7.
- If you add the site to your saved 'My Sites' section you can run an export to then run a mail merge or use the DTV file to do this within Nimbus.
- Write a letter to the address of the property, content is key and there should be a call to action to illicit a response from the owner(s).
- View the planning history of the property, especially if it has applied for planning permission. This can sometimes reveal the owner's details in the "Further Information" section of the planning application.
- Where a property is listed as company owned, you can click on the company number within the information panel. The link will take you into companies house where you can see a list of directors. Searching their names in social media platforms such as LinkedIn can be a free and easy way to reach out to owners.
These methods should help you get in touch with the property owner.
